Run to the hands of my Father Who holds his arms out for me My life on earth here was short, But with Him, I live eternally I claim the promise he made me That pain will be no more Today, I am young again, As I walk through heaven's door Please don't cry for me Because I am gone Only my body is taken, My soul will never die Smile now and dry your tears For today in heaven, I fly! I fly to the arms of Jesus Whom I've been longing to meet The waiting on earth seemed long, But now I am at his feet He tells me of a mansion Just beyond the streets of gold His warmth surrounds me always, I shall never grow cold Please don't cry for me Because I am gone Though you may not see me, Part of me is with you Don't remember my suffering or pain, For today in heaven, I'm new! New in the Holy Spirit Who is my comfort and peace, My life on earth was mere existence, But now I have sweet release.
